Choosing Good 4×4 Wheels

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the term “4×4″ or all-wheel drive? Great powerful machine, capable of driving long-term obstacles and rough terrain? On the other hand, yes, this may be true. But these days, although some of the most fantastic utility vehicle or jeep are also classified in 4×4.
So what exactly 4×4 acronym means? Simply put, the first number is the total number of wheels on the vehicle and the second is the number of driven wheels.
If a powered front wheel drive only on both front wheels (front wheel drive car) and a rear disc on the rear wheels (to move the vehicle), a 4×4 has the advantage of four wheels. The four-wheeled vehicle equipped with a drivetrain that allows all four wheels to receive torque from the motor at the same time. Experts said that turn all four wheels provides better control in normal road cars on many surfaces.
So this means it will be always on all 4 wheels? Not necessarily …
Some four-wheel drive vehicles allow the driver to manually switch the mode to two wheels (if available) for everyday driving and four wheel drive mode for low traction conditions like ice, mud, snow, slippery floors, or gravel.
Other models, such as all-wheel drive (full-time four-wheel drive) are generally known as an exceptional ability to grip, especially when cornering or on slippery surfaces, if it’s really important to get the correct grip!
Part-time four-wheel-drive systems are mechanically simpler, less expensive and more difficult than in the four wheels, systems, and if a better use of available traction. These systems are equipped with an adjustable-rate reduction that multiplies engine torque for more power at low speed, a vital element for vehicles that will see much wider use of the road. The disadvantage is that due to the lack of a central differential, a part-time system can be used in situations where low friction wheels have the ability to slip if necessary.
Some four-wheel drive systems are very advanced. Say, for example, you’re on a muddy road, and your left front wheel loses traction – driven system then automatically removes all the powers of the left front wheel and distributes it to the other 3 wheels ensures that the wheel problems quickly “from trouble.” If you were in the same situation with a front wheel drive car, you will only one wheel to the left, not necessarily the same efficiency.
It ‘s very important to know the reading of your vehicle’s engine on four wheels. If you buy a 4×4 for off-road driving, be sure to go for proper training. Trained professionals are “been there and done” and are truly the best people to learn. The last thing you want to end up with a new 4×4 vehicle in a ditch, all 4 wheels in the air – let’s face it.
